Pukka Herbs

Pukka Herbs
8 Hawkfield Business Park
Bristol

Pukka Herbs logo
  INTRODUCTION

Pukka Herbs began in 2001 after Sebastian Pole met Tim Westwell. Sebastian was an ambitious herbalist who wanted to change the world through introducing people to the power of herbs. Tim had been looking to step out of the corporate world to find a way to combine his passion to contribute to a more positive world with his business skills. They quickly realised they had a shared vision. Today over a million cups of Pukka tea are drunk every day. Pukka also makes a range of supplements using the same pharmacopeia grade, ethically traded organic herbs used in teas.

Pukka Herbs currently (at October 2016) has 40 blends of tea. These include a ranges of green teas using matcha, herbal teas and speciality black teas.

Pukka blends its teas not just for taste, but also for wellbeing. All teas are blended using the principles of Ayurveda, an ancient Indian holistic philosophy that shows how to live a healthy, wholesome and more fulfilled life by balancing mind, body and spirit.

As well as being organic, Pukka has also worked hard to pioneer new ways to ensure that the organisation is making a genuine contribution to global equality, poverty and the environment. For example, Pukka is working with FairWild guaranteeing that the plants used from the wild have been harvested in a sustainable way and that the collectors have been paid fairly for their work. All Pukka?s teas are now certified as ?fair? through a new fair trade scheme called ?Fair for Life?. Fair for Life is one of the fairest, most equitable and transparent fair trade systems in the world. It guarantees that everyone who Pukka touches, from crop to cup across the globe, is treated fairly, equitably and transparently. And as a member of 1% for the Planet, Pukka gives 1% of its turnover to support environmental causes.
