With a range of over 6 afternoon teas to choose from plus their very popular themed events, such as the Mad Hatters Tea Party and Victorian Christmas, Davenports Tea Room remains the Tea Guilds last ever winner of the Top Tea Room in the UK. Offering over 50 specialist loose leaf teas, and uniquely guide you as to the best teas to suit your needs and brew according to personal taste.

In addition to the Tea Room itself, they also offer a unique private Vintage Afternoon Tea Cruises with one of the routes including passage on the famous Anderton Boat Lift, known as the Cathedral of the Canals.

The Davenport family celebrates over 90 years of business in the Northwich area.

All our special events require min 24hr notice and a £10pp deposit to confirm, though many of these events book many months in advance.

Victorian Christmas mid-Nov through to 31st Dec (excluding Christmas closure)

A magical event that is well attending from people travelling far and wide. Many people use this as the start of their Christmas and come back year after year, so it does book up. Beautifully decorated room, staff dressed in costume, 2 different themed afternoon tea available during this period. £33 per adult (£19.99 per child) includes a glass of mulled wine on arrival, afternoon tea, pot of tea each and a little gift.
